Students in the Automotive Technology program receive instruction in a fully operational automotive service and repair facility on student and site owned vehicles. Shop instruction is re-enforced with related theory classroom instruction to give students in-depth knowledge of this highly technical an challenging field. Students are given an opportunity to learn all aspects of automotive repair and business management in a program designed around individual achievement.
Our automotive classroom is equipped with a wide range of demonstration modules that allow hands on learning in a laboratory atmosphere. Bear Creek's Automotive Technology program is currently in review for national certification under the National Automobile Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF). All instructors who work with the students must remain fully Automotive Services Excellence (ASE) certified.
In addition to a High School Diploma, graduates of the program will earn hours towards the technical certification and awarded college credits through San Joaquin Delta College. Students are also able to compete locally and nationally against other schools in Skills USA programs.
